Andi Jane grew up in small-town central Illinois, where music and imagination shaped her early life. After time in Chicago fronting a dance-rock band and working as a DJ, she eventually returned to songwriting—finding her true voice after moving to Nashville eight years ago.
Her music blends bluegrass, country, and jazz into a theatrical, story-driven style. Influenced by ’90s country and classic artists like Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, Andi’s sound honors tradition while pushing beyond it.
Her debut album, The Ground Is Changing, is rooted in bluegrass instrumentation—banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and upright bass—while incorporating unexpected elements like washboard, drums, and bluesy dobro. Through vivid storytelling, songs like “Teardrop Island,” “Thousand Little Lies,” and “Running Out of Time” explore themes of heartbreak, transformation, and self-discovery.
